Request deletion of your data

You can request deletion of all personal data associated with your Qenguru AI account in one of two ways:

Option 1 — Self-service (account holders)

If you have a Qenguru AI account, log in at app.qenguru.ai and navigate to Settings -> Profile -> Delete account. You will be asked to re-enter your password to confirm.

After submitting, you will receive a confirmation code by email and can track progress at a personalised status page.

Option 2 — Email request

Send an email to support@qenguru.ai with the subject "Delete my data" and include:

• Your account email OR Instagram username used with Qenguru AI
• A brief note confirming the request is from you (we may reply to verify identity before processing)

Instagram users

If you interacted with a Qenguru AI-powered Instagram business account and want your message data removed, you can either:

• Request removal directly via Meta "Remove app" flow on Instagram — this triggers an automated deletion on our side
• Email us at the address above, including your Instagram username

What gets deleted

• Your account profile and authentication credentials
• Agents, channels, and integrations you configured
• Chat threads and messages
• Uploaded documents and media (used for retrieval-augmented generation)
• Vector embeddings derived from your content
• Notifications addressed to you

What we keep (anonymised)

We retain aggregate analytics (message counts, usage statistics) with all personal identifiers removed, as permitted under GDPR recital 26. Audit records for deletion requests themselves are retained to demonstrate compliance (GDPR Art. 5(2)).

Timeline

Data deletion is processed within 30 days of receipt of a valid request. In most cases it completes within minutes; the 30-day window is our regulatory SLA.

Status tracking

After you submit a deletion request through the app or through Meta flow, you receive a confirmation code. Track status at /data-deletion/status?code=<your-code>.
